Deepening Love
with Inna Alex
8-10 October 2021
A connection weekend for couples who are curious about new impulses for Loving and Relationship
Have you heard of the saying "It takes a village to raise a child"?
I often find myself pondering: Doesn't it also take a village to support my partnership to persevere and unfold its potential in a world that is unravelling, uncertain and in constant change?

Living in intentional community and participating in dozens of heart share circles and personal development events over the past 15 years has inspired me to drop any expectation of "Having to do it alone", but rather open to sharing my personal experiences of relationship with others.
I joyfully invite you to join our village of consciously relating couples and embrace learning together how to best share life and love in the Great Turning.

This weekend is for you as a couple if you want to deepen your connection with yourselves, your partner and your world, in a way that combines depth with playful curiosity. It’s valuable whether you’re at the beginning of or well into your relationship, whether you are completely new to group work or well used to it. It is not a therapy weekend, and no particular pre-requirements exist apart from a willingness to be open and curious.
The purpose of this retreat is to give our relationships dedicated time and focus to deepen. We will hold space for you as an individual and as a couple to embark on an experiential journey to discover new ways of seeing and empowering your positive actions, for your relationship as well as for your world.
During this experiential weekend you will be able to experiment with various ways of deepening connection to yourself, your partner, couples in the group and the natural world surrounding us.
Using practices from Work That Reconnects and other bodies of work we may explore and practice:

-
connection & communication skills
-
vulnerability & authenticity
-
holding space for our own and our partner's feelings
-
touch & non-sexual physical intimacy
-
empowering each other’s life purpose
-
grounding our relationship's purpose in the wider context of today's changing world
-
nature time, relaxation and having fun together.

There will be a maximum of 7 couples. Accommodation is in simple, private rooms with shared utilities, and we will co-create meals together as a community.

Deepen your connection to each other and expand your capacity to love in a powerful and enjoyable way.

The Venue
Shambhala Eco Retreat - Onekaka, Golden Bay
Shambhala is set on acres of stunning native bush, with peaceful, secluded gardens, tea houses, Buddha statues and walks around the property and down to the private beach. A great place to explore during your free time! The hall has windows the whole way along and looks out over the Bay - it is constructed of cedar, Cyprus and pine that were grown on the property. Our kitchen is warm and welcoming and well stocked with yummy treats and drinks and there are plenty of spaces for reflection and connection. The rooms are simple and comfortable. Bathrooms are shared. There’s a mixture of double and twin rooms (rooms will be allocated on a 1st in basis and we will do our best to meet your preference).
Shambhala is a real gem. - A perfect location for our weekend retreat.
