Essential Tools for Parenting in the Times of the Great Turning

Facilitated by Inna Alex and Jaime Howell.

Sunday, 6 September, 9.30am-12.30pm

at the EarthHub in Nelson.

***

Explore with us the trials and dreams of raising the next generation in the 21st century using the Work That Reconnects. Learn mindfulness tools to take into your daily life.

Ground your vision for the beautiful relationship to our kids our hearts know is possible, integrating our mind and soul's yearning for hope and wholesome growth.

WHY?

We are alive at an extraordinary & challenging moment in time on Earth: Global pandemic, mass extinctions, run-away industrial growth society, racism, inequality, and unstable climate are all happening. It is a truly challenging time to raise our children to become the responsible, creative and joyful humans they were born to be.

It is also a time of great possibility when creativity, courage, and collective action can bring positive change for our families, for our communities and for future generations.

There is a deep need to be resourced to navigate these changing times well. This is the work of the Great Turning. And as a parent, YOU are an essential and vital part of it!

HOW?

This workshop forum is part of ReSource NELSON, a non-residential weekend event offering 4 independent sessions based around the modalities of Open Floor, Work That Reconnects and Mindfulness (https://www.facebook.com/events/209557010306023/).

Mindfulness and Work That Reconnects (WTR) offer an essential tool kit for living the Great Turning. Mindfulness cultivates awareness to meet whatever we experience with kindness and curiosity. WTR opens our hearts and minds to the love and the grief we feel for our world through our radical interdependence with all Life. It empowers us to raise our children in solidarity with one another and with the clarity of just how essential our unique gifts are for the Great Turning.

No previous experience is necessary, only the love to connect and learn.

Everybody is welcome, whether you are living with children of your own, or care deeply for the children in your life and community.
