Yoga and the Work That Reconnects
We warmly invite you to join us for Reconnect & Thrive: our annual Yoga, Meditation & Deep Ecology Retreat, a unique 4-day journey dedicated to nurturing your body, mind and spirit.

In these times of busy lives, ongoing change and many possibilities, we gather to recharge and reconnect.
This will support you to extend your competencies in resilient personal wellbeing, relating, creativity, courage, and inspired, regenerative action, so you can thrive and bring forth your unique gifts.
You will be guided by us as experienced facilitators, Inna Alex and Swami Karma Karuna, who offer a synergistic blend of deep ecology and traditional yogic practices, including asana, pranayama, Yoga Nidra, meditation, nature connection, poetry, ritual, and song.
Our retreat offers a balanced immersion into traditional yogic practices as well as gentle enquiry into the nature of being alive on Earth at this time. Set in a stunning natural environment, this retreat promises to be a sanctuary for healing and growth.

We intend that a combination of Work That Reconnection and Yoga will empower you to act on behalf of Earth with clarity, love and direction.

I felt really connected to all of my emotions and safe to express them in a safe contained space. I felt more connected to my purpose, passion and my mission here on Earth… Inna is a beautiful soul who leads with such grace, presence and love for all Beings. She is wonderful at creating a safe container for everything, all feelings, emotions and people, to be welcome.

I did not really know what Deep Ecology was, but I felt like it was something I had been needing to connect with for a while. It tackled many thoughts and feelings I had inside me that have been there for ages but had not had the right space to be let out. It made me want to find ways of giving to the world - something I had never thought I needed to do but I realized the importance of.

Highly nurturing, food for body, mind and soul. Highly recommended it, but only with an accompanying 'health' warning: "It might change your life!"
Just to express my gratitude to Inna, as a wonderful, compassionate and intuitive facilitator. A strong and aware woman, who does not need to compromise and still able to create a loving, caring and intriguing space to be in, to feel safe in and to grow.
Program
This retreat combines the transformational journeys of Deep Ecology and Yoga under the guidance of experienced facilitators in a nurturing and safe environment.
In the Deep Ecology sessions, you will be guided through the four stages of the spiral of the The Work That Reconnects in a journey of experiential practices, poetry, ritual, song, movement and silence. We explore and deepen our connections to Self, each other, and all Life, in order to take part in the Healing of our World.
Yoga brings us into balance and harmony, giving us the ability to enjoy life, fulfil our potential and find our true identity. We will be practicing traditional yogic practices including Asana, Pranayama, Yoga Nidra, Havan and Meditation, guided by Swami Karma Karuna. These yogic practices will encourage us to tune into both the universal nature alongside our own.

No previous experience in either Yoga or Deep Ecology necessary.

The Venue
Shambhala Eco-Retreat - Onekaka, Golden Bay
Shambhala is set on acres of stunning native bush, with peaceful, secluded gardens, tea houses, Buddha statues and walks around the property and down to the private beach. A great place to explore during your free time! The hall has windows the whole way along and looks out over the Bay - it is constructed of cedar, Cyprus and pine that were grown on the property. Our kitchen is warm and welcoming and well stocked with yummy treats and drinks and there are plenty of spaces for reflection and connection. The rooms are simple and there’s a mixture of 3-/4-share, double and twin rooms (rooms will be allocated on a 1st in basis and we will do our best to meet your preference). There's plenty room for camping.
Shambhala is a real gem. - A perfect location for our retreat.
